September 25th at Castle Rock Middle School  6:30-8:30 p.m.

Please come to hear these 4 local experts present on topics related to youth mental health:

  • Dr. Jody Robinson, Clear Skies Psychiatry, LLC will focus on how parents can approach a kid starting to show mental or emotional challenges.  What to look for, how to access  care and when to consider medication.
  • Stephanie Bartlett, LPC, LMFT will delve into the topic of suicide being the second leading cause of death among our youth: let’s focus on how we, as parents, can help our hurting kids.
  • Dr. Bernadette Pigeon, DCSD Mental Health Coordinator will explore current suicide prevention practices being implemented in schools and highlight key interventions available for students who may be at risk or in need of support.

Overview of Annual Program

The Rotary Satellite Club of Castle Pines, in cooperation with other service clubs, is supporting mental health initiatives in Douglas County.  Each year there will be two events linked to both Suicide Prevention Month in September and Mental Health Awareness Month in May.

Thrive: Let's Talk

Held annually in September, this event will focus on community conversations in a safe setting with local experts on well-being. Attendees will be able to ask questions, share stories and connect.

September 25, 2025 Thrive: Let's Talk event and hope you will attend.

 Thrive: Let's Do Some Good

Held annually in April right before Mental Health Awareness Month in May.
This will be a fun event to raise money for community well-being and other programs.

The focus for the 2025-2026 year is Youth Mental Health.

Watch for our April 2026 event, Thrive: Let's Do Some Good

(Date coming soon) This will be a fundraiser to support the mental health of students in Douglas County. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support community projects and pay tuition to train pediatricians, primary care physicians, and physician assistants who treat youth ages 6-18 in Castle Rock. They would be trained on a program created by Boston Children’s Hospital (Building Bridges of Understanding) on how to screen for behavioral health concerns. Behavioral health concerns that are identified sooner means that treatment or connection to other resources and supports can start sooner, with the goal of improving student mental wellness and outcomes.
The scope of the project in 2026 will be limited to Castle Rock.  If successful, the project can be replicated in all towns by other Rotary Clubs in Douglas County.
If you have questions, contact Lin Miklas 720-301-027, Rotary Club of Castle Pines.
