Kim DeBlauw is a native of Colorado who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.  After working at the Pan American Health Organization and Chemonics International, she joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 1986.  She served in Mexico, Togo, Portugal, Belgium, Bolivia, Turkey, Spain and Washington, DC before retiring with the rank of Minister-Counselor in 2019.  Her assignments included consular, management and political functions. She currently works as a rehired annuitant for the State Department's Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration.  Kim is married to Juan Ramirez, a native of Malaga, Spain. They have three adult children.
