The Rotary Club of Castle Pines is committed to helping and supporting organizations that help the youth of Douglas County. The primary beneficiary of our efforts is the Douglas County Y.E.S.S. (Youth Education and Safety in Schools). Y.E.S.S. is a proactive collaboration between law enforcement, schools and the community to develop life skills for our future leaders.

The Y.E.S.S. program deals with a wide variety of issues including teen relationships (bullying, harassment, abuse) Internet/digital safety (cyber bullying and sexting), and substance abuse.

The Y.E.S.S program offers  a community suicide prevention program that includes free SafeTalk (suicide awareness for everyone) training.

It was an honor to have Phyllis Harvey, Program Coordinator, Deputies Jay Martin, Jay Carnes, and Sergeant Lori Bronner at our meeting Thursday.  Deputy Carnes gave us a great overview about the successes that the program has had, and some exciting news. They are working with a large corporate sponsor that is interested in taking the program nationwide.
